Basketball Clinics

Rebound Liberia uses daily basketball clinics as a tool for defending gender equality and as a social gathering place that reinforces stability, leadership, cooperation, discipline and a culture of mentorship. The clinics culminate with an end of year tournament that put the young women in the center stage of their community where their talents can be valued.

College and Career Readiness

Rebound Liberia hosts weekly literacy workshops where participants can improve on reading and writing skills through culturally salient and age appropriate material. Participants also get exposure to other opportunities which complement academics such as college readiness, preparing for the next steps after high school, accessing education in Liberia and abroad, and exploring other alternatives if education is not an option.

Personal Development Workshops

Rebound Liberia hosts personal development workshops once a week which serve as a safe space for young women to engage in female specific conversations as well as discussions about pressing issues in Liberia. The young women work together to find practical solutions to address these issues (such as substance abuse, youth unemployment, and sexual abuse/exploitation, e.t.c) in their communities and the country. Rebound Liberia invites working professionals, local women in power, and other experts as panelists, and workshop facilitators.

Together, we can bridge the gender literacy gap and empower young women to become leaders in their communities.
